Sharon's Plum
Dumplings:
Pre-heat oven 375°
¼ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
2 oz cream cheese
6 plums (peeled, pitted & cut in half)
*Tart pastry:
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup shortening
2 tablespoons water
Roll out 1/8" thick, cut out 12 squares

In
a small bowl mix ¼ cup sugar and ¼
teaspoon nutmeg and set aside. Beat the 2-oz
(soft) cream cheese. Add all but 3 tablespoons of sugar mixture and beat again.
Place half of a plum in the middle of each pastry square, top each with 2
teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture and seal. Brush tops with butter and
sprinkle with the remaining sugar/nutmeg mixture. Place on a greased
cookie sheet and bake in 375 oven for 30 minutes.
