Journey
to a different place and time
Established
in 1912, the Yellowstone Trail,
with 3,700 miles of roadway leading to Yellowstone Park,
was billed as the first transcontinental road in America. People from
Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound are now making plans to follow it once again.
In Montana much of the trail can be
explored just like the old days, except the roads are paved today. The
great thing about the Billings Region is the ability to get off the fast
lanes of the Interstate. Enjoy your journey more by slowing down and
taking the frontage and secondary roads. These were part of the original
Yellowstone Trail. It also follows much of the Lewis
and Clark Trail of 1803 to 1806 in Montana.
This
area is a nurturing ground for art, photography and exploration of
minerals, geologic formations and fossils.
Famous authors, artists, scouts, explorers
and Indian chiefs add color to the culture. Use the area as a base camp to
explore seven mountain
ranges, seven rivers, and Yellowstone Park. Take in old Indian trails, ice
caves, pictographs, and wildlife sanctuaries. And fishing is a great
experience for all ages.
People are encouraged to investigate
this
spectacular area for new opportunities.
Explore, start a business, find your artistic and spiritual bearings.
Complement your lifestyle in one of the world's most distinctive
locations and help protect our most sacred
resource - the Earth.
Smart investors will be convinced of the
potential for growth, not in numbers of people, but in value. Railroads,
buses, real estate, hotels, restaurants and recreation and touring are
some of the industries to watch.
Art and entertainment will have a large
base here because of the legendary spiritual nature of the area. There is
an "infinite wellspring of creativity and resources" available for people
who need to reach out for new material and new direction. It is very
likely you will find it here in a short time by embracing this country's
considerable assets.
Architecture, art, sculpture, film,
journalism and other areas can now form a new school based on the past,
present and future coming together all at one time. In many ways, at the
center of the circle, time stands still.
