New Pioneers
Part of the Forum's complete starter resource
A thoughtful leadership program involving young people and parents is a good backup plan.
We proudly promote the New Pioneers, dedicated to young
people learning, together with parents or other mentor, about leadership and finding
solutions.
As New Pioneers, both young people and their parents interact
more with each other and get involved more in their community in unique and fruitful ways.
Spending time together, having fun and making a difference is what it's all about.
New Pioneers is a mentor program. It helps your town set up a
creative group to experiment in a risk-free environment. It welcomes diversification and
new ideas. It shows diverse ways small towns can use their alternative resources to become
stronger. Use these sideline activities to augment other growth oriented projects from the
Forum.
Many major companies have propelled themselves to new heights
from sideline activities like the Forum's New Pioneers. Intel was saved by the
microprocessor when prices fell on their main product, the memory chip. It had been worked
on by a group within the company but not officially funded or approved. Lockheed, 3M,
Motorola, Xerox and others have had giant earnings from sideline projects. They work. Why
not support a sideline group in your small town while working on other projects that the
Forum can help you with?

you start a New Pioneers program in your small town.
